Salazie is the greenest – and of course, the wettest cirque on the island! It is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls of Reunion, easily admired along the way.
Our first stop takes us to the base of one of the tallest: Cascade Blanche, right at the entrance of the cirque.
We’ll then head to Point du Jour, offering breathtaking views of the high peaks and the village of Grand Ilet.
Upon arrival in Hell-Bourg, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, we’ll wander through this peaceful haven, surrounded by charming Creole houses that bear witness to a rich colonial past.
We will visit one of these homes: Maison Folio, where we’ll have the privilege of stepping into its lush garden and entering the house itself.
Our picnic will take place in the forest above the village, before heading off again to admire the iconic Voile de la Mariée waterfall.
We’ll then visit one of the island’s oldest vanilla plantations, where the precious spice has been grown for five generations.
A final photo stop at our Niagara waterfall, and we’ll make our way back to the hotel.
